Primary Job Purpose
The Senior System Admin responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise IT and multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role focuses on cloud architecture, Office 365 administration, Oracle Cloud integrations, security compliance, and advanced technical problem resolution. This position requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable IT services.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
1. Multi-Cloud Architecture & Management
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise workloads across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, tagging standards, access controls, and cost optimization practices.
• Evaluate and implement cloud-native services to modernize and optimize business applications.
2. AWS, Azure, GCP & OCI Administration
• AWS: Manage EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, and security services such as GuardDuty and Security Hub.
• Azure: Administer subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, Azure Policy, Virtual Machines, networking, and identity services.
• GCP: Architect and manage Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Operations.
• OCI: Manage compute, storage, networking (VCN), load balancers, Autonomous Database, compartments, and security zones.
3. Microsoft Office 365 & Identity Management
• Oversee deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration of Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, and hybrid identity scenarios.
• Support email migrations, hybrid Exchange environments, and third-party integrations.
4. Oracle Cloud & Enterprise Application Integration
• Support and manage Oracle Cloud integrations including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), ERP, HCM, and SCM platforms.
• Ensure stable connectivity, security, and performance between Oracle applications and enterprise infrastructure.
5. Security, Compliance & Governance
• Implement and monitor security controls across cloud platforms, identity systems, and productivity tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and security best practices.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, incident response, and remediation activities.
6. Technical Support, Escalation & Problem Resolution
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical (Severity-1) incidents and complex cross-platform issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation.
7. Collaboration, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and cloud administrators.
• Work closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Translate business requirements into secure and scalable technical solutions.
8. Documentation, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Provide reports on system availability, performance, security posture, and optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to KPI definition, tracking, and continuous service improvement.
Liaison with
• Main External Relationships: Cloud service providers, technology vendors, and implementation partners.
• Main Internal Relationships: Business Process Owners, IS Management, Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and Application teams.
Position Requirements – Skills & Competencies
• Strong expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of Office 365, Azure AD, and enterprise identity management.
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on cost optimization and service reliability.
• Commitment to security, compliance, and data protection best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technical consulting, cloud engineering, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server environments.
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Microsoft) are an advantage.
• Proven experience working with enterprise-scale systems and stakeholders.
